What is an X-Ray?

X-rays use invisible electromagnetic energy beams to produce images of internal tissues, bones, and organs on film. Standard x-rays are performed for many reasons, such as diagnosing various illnesses and injuries.

What to Expect During Your X-Ray

During the exam, you may stand, sit or lie down, depending on your clinical condition and the body part being imaged. The exam usually takes about 20 minutes.
